Being Fit

As part of my goal to lose weight, I'm tracking everything I eat and drink, every day, as well as what exercise I do. I have specific goals - 3 veggies, 2 fuits, 96 oz water, and 1 or less (none on Tues, Wed, and Thurs) servings of sweets every day. I'm also doing at least 90 minutes of exercise 5 days a week, with at least 30 minutes on one of the other two days, and some strength training exercises 5 times a week.

Until now, I've been writing this stuff on teeny tiny little pieces of paper and storing them on my kitchen counter. I dutifully keep them for about a week until I no longer see the purpose, and then I throw them out since I'm a neat freak and I can't stand having piles of stuff laying around. So this is me trying to save a few (hundred) trees and keep myself sane, while still managing to keep track of what I am eating.

I don't particularly feel like saying how much I weigh, but I do step on my scale rather regularly (pretty much every day, in fact) and I'm tracking how much weight I have lost. My goal is to lose a total of 35 lbs, which would put me back in my suggested weight range for my height. This is a hugely daunting task to me, but I am pleased to say I'm (finally) making some progress. And hopefully by my birthday next year (June 2) I'll have met my goal. So at some point Kimball is going to make me a little graph to put on here to show you how much weight I have lost. Until then, I guess you'll just have to pretend you know.

I can't imagine that this would be interesting to anyone but myself (and really, it's not that interesting to me either), but I suppose if you really want to know what I'm eating then you're welcome to look. After all, I'm the one publishing this out in public. :)
